Profile Richness & Credit Consumption
Every company is unique. Some organizations publish extensive information about their activities, while others maintain a limited public footprint.
In addition, certain profile sections may not be relevant to a specific company.
As a result, a 100% profile completion rate is neither expected nor required.
To ensure fair credit consumption, CompDNA profiles are classified according to their Profile Richness, which combines:
- Profile Completion Rate: the percentage of fields successfully populated.
- Evidence Strength: the quantity, diversity, recency, and quality of supporting evidence collected from trusted web sources.
Evidence may include news articles, corporate websites, press releases, recruitment activity, partnerships, acquisitions, investments, strategic announcements, and other market intelligence signals.
What Makes a Profile Valuable?
A profile’s value is not determined solely by the number of completed fields.
A company profile supported by hundreds of independent sources often delivers far greater intelligence value than a profile with a higher completion rate but limited supporting evidence.
CompDNA therefore evaluates both the breadth of information collected and the strength of the underlying evidence, including number of citations, number of unique articles and URLs, number of independent source domains, recency of information.
Profile Richness Score
The Profile Richness Score combines the breadth of information collected and the strength of the supporting evidence:
Profile Richness Score = (70% × Profile Completion Rate) + (30% × Evidence Strength Index)
Both metrics are normalized on a 100-point scale. The resulting score determines the profile category and the number of credits required for generation.
CompDNA values evidence, not just data completion.
Our goal is to provide company intelligence that is both comprehensive and verifiable, supported by trusted web sources and transparent references.
